The king (or queen- whichever way you see it) of all tourism places in India, still remains the most popular choice for all newly weds to spend some quality time together.
The place offers pristine and clean beaches, excellent night life for initiated ones and excellent bars, restaurants and pubs for having a gala time together. Gifted by god for its lovely and virgin beaches, scenic beauty and great co existence of old and new culture, Goa is the ideal place for coming back again and again together. Tourism is so prominent at Goa that the number of tourists almost equals the number of state population.
How to reach :
The place is well connected with all the major cities and places. Air, Road and Train services are ever busy bringing tourists together to this place at all time. Goa's international airport is 29 km from Panjim at Dabolim. Regular flights also link Goa with Delhi, Pune, Cochin, Bangalore and Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. All the airlines have their dedicated services for this sector. Train services are also in demand and the Konkan train route running through lush greens is a good option. Goa has two main stations at Margao and Vasco da Gama. Inter state bus services running from Mumbai (16 hrs), Mangalore, Bangalore, Pune is also another option and finally hiring a taxi or taking your own vehicles having the luxury of only each other’s company is something that you may try to have a wonderful time.
What to do in Goa :
Goa is geographically divided into North and South Goa. North Goa consist of places of interest such as capital Panaji, Mapusa, old Goa etc. Churches, beaches colonial architecture structures are the main tourist attractions. Visits to the churches should include The Church of St Francis, the Se Cathedral and the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which houses the mortal remains and the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. Goa is world famous for its pristine beaches. The beaches of Miramar and Dona Paula, Candolim, Calangute,Baga, Anjuna, Vagator and Arambol, Colva are most famous. Don’t forget to visit Anjuna Beach famous for its Wednesday foreigners market. If you are lucky, you can get excellent stuff sold at throw away prices.

Goa offers choice to every body. From super luxurious star hotels to modest guest houses, there are enough number of choices available to all to enjoy the place. Don’t forget to do an advanced booking during seasons which starts in mid October and lasts till February. One good option available to you is the resorts of Goa Tourist Development Corporation (GTDC) which have most of their resorts right on the beaches.
How to roam around :
Taxies are available but generally expensive. A unique experience available to you is to hire a bike/scooter and drive together enjoying the company of each other. So do not forget to take your driving license with you. Services are available near most of the resorts.
Where to eat :
The best time to travel to Goa is between November and March.
